Once Upon A Time

Once upon a time, 

well isn’t that how they start out, 

those stories they told us, 

when we were very young.

Once upon a time, 

she found her prince charming, 

and lived out in happiness, 

all the days of their lives.

As we grew we discovered

the stories aren’t what they seemed

Life will be what we make of it, maybe

there are no guarantees.

Once upon a time,

 the beautiful maidens, 

with pure and romantic hearts, 

could tame the savage beasts.

Once upon a time, the brave, 

gallant, honest men, 

would conquer the most evil spells, 

to protect their sworn love.

As we grew we discovered

the stories aren’t what they seemed

Life will be what we make of it, maybe

there are no guarantees.
